Growing up in the Columbia River Gorge was an experience, but I am sad to admit that it took me over 20 years to finally hike all the way to the top of Multnomah Falls! lol I lived roughly two hours a way most of my life and have been there a number of times and NEVER made it more then half way that I can ever remember until after I got married and I haven't done it again since.
Fast forward 7 years I meet my new friend and adventure buddy Julie! She is originally from Texas and loves to explore as much as I do. Random on one of our Chick fil a dates, (yes you read that right we have date nights at Chick fil a!) the falls came up and on a whim we made plans to go!
August 3rd, if y'all remember, was the beginning of the smoke invasion from the north and it was HOT! We left early to try and beat the heat and the crowds. Poor kiddos were so out of it! Leaving here though, at 6 am was the best choice we could have made. When we arrived there was only a small crowd and the temperature was still in the low 70s.
We hit the potties, grabbed a muffin and headed to the first deck. The girls have been here many times on the way to Nana & Pop-pop's house (this is our one pit stop, if we need it), so they knew exactly where to go.
Once you get across the bridge there are 11 switch backs, we made it to #5 before the kids couldn't go even more. We even bribed with MICKY D'S and turned on the Trolls soundtrack to motivate them and they still didn't want to keep going! crazy kids! lol Honestly though I am totally proud they made it that far.
Have you ever wanted someone to photograph one of your adventures for you? Yes! Sweet shoot me an email and we can talk about all the fun things you want to capture and with who!
