I could be long winded about how I stumbled upon this amazing artist, Jenny Loughmiller, but I'll spare you the details. Instead I will share with you why you should know and love her and her project!

Let's start with the whole reason I sought her out in the first place, her 100 Hearts Project

This beautiful....movement....started as a way to heal for her. In 2016 she was dealing with depression and a failing marriage and didn't know how to fix it, so she decided to focus on gratitude. Gratitude big enough that she couldn't avoid it and couldn't run from it, so the project was born.

She would paint 100 hearts as a thank you to 100 women who had touched her life in some way. At first the list was hard to create, but it got easier as the project took on a life of its own. Do you want to know the best part? The women she is painting for don't know it! They don't even know she is doing this!! Next September she will have a gallery showing displaying them, they will receive an invitation insisting they come and then she will show them their heart. Personally I can't wait to attend....with my camera....and LOTS of kleenx!

I asked her about the beginning, about how this all got started and understandably she got teary eyed. You see that yellow one in the middle there? That was her fist. What you don't know is this gorgeous gal is self taught. Amazing right? I never would have guessed!

Anywho the pressure for that first canvas was so much that she was petrified to put paint on it. For weeks she would stare at it as she walked by. Eventually she thought of what her grandma would want her to do, which was to have courage, so she did! That painting is dedicated to her grandma and you have look carefully, but it has courage written in it.

Jenny is so cool she makes her own wooden canvases! In the beginning she actually bought a bulk set of regular canvases, but discovered quickly that they weren't what she wanted, so she builds her own and her husband builds her selves.

The adorable little blonde humming bird here is Jenny's youngest and part time personal tool cleaner! She loves to hang out with mom in the studio when can and to help out with all of her momma's hearts. She definitely has a mighty big one herself.

This beauty is heart number 50!

If you weren't in love with everything already, let me add some icing to the cake. Jenny was so inspired by the project and the responses it caused in those around her, that she wanted to offer it to you too!

You can actually purchase card versions of her hearts to send as Gratitude Cards with envelopes and stamps included. All you have to do is fill it out and drop it in the box. What better way to celebrate November then with some heart?

Seriously spread some love and let those around you know that you care. You never know when they might need it more then anything or if that will be your last chance to do it.

Hugs & Love y'all!
