When we left you last we were reuniting with my Husband in Seirra Vista, AZ. While it was a blissfully wonderful few days it was also very stressful. We ran into some issues with his command about his leave (vacation time) and it almost costs us many things including our trip back up to Scottsdale, AZ to see his mom. Thankfully they were able to work it out enough that we didn't have to cancel our hotel and our trip up there! On the flip side we choose the HOTTEST weekend in US history to be in the Phoenix area. Go freakin' figure! Growing up the hottest I had ever experienced was 112 and that was a really abnormal day for us. My part of Washington was normally in the 90's in the summer. Our poor girls are so used to the island summers (85 at the VERY most), so they were dying.
We did our best to stay inside or just venture out to the pool, but we had to make once exception. I have this project I have been working on since I received my first camera and that is to photograph every LDS temple I come across in my travels whenever possible.
Well two birds with one stone....We decided to run off some of their energy before we went out for dinner while I photographed the Gilbert Temple. HA! 121 DEGREES! They lasted 5 mins before they and my husband popped back into the car and I don't blame them.
I swear my camera was so hot it left a scorch mark on my cheek, but I was determined to get me shoots. I must say it was totally worth it too.
My wonderful Aunt Amy gave my girls travel kits back when we visited in St. George and in those kits where these cute stuffed animals. Well Loo insists on taking her tiger everywhere with her now. Reminds me of a certain panda I had as a kid....
Don't forget to head on over to Damara's blog to see what she is up to this week!
