Oh what an adventure the last few weeks have been. Those who know me well know that I am a major planner, which does not fit well with military life. Combine that with being homeless and being stuck in limbo.... Well we are all going a little crazy at the moment. It wouldn't be so bad, if the girls hadn't come down with a horrible cold the week after we arrived! The freakin' thing last for over a month and kept us shut up in my parents house the entire time. To say we were stir crazy would be an understatement!

I was SO excited when they finally kicked the cough and we could go exploring again. The last time I thought they were feeling better and I try taking them out, Ames threw up about a 100 yards into the trail. I felt so bad for taking them out, but they wanted to do something soo badly.

This time I made 100% sure it was gone before we headed out and we spiced it up by hitting the mountain. Which mountain you ask? My mountain. The one I grew up gazing up at, climbing on, riding on and even plucked our Christmas trees from....Mount Hood!

After a quick search of kid friendly hikes I found one called Little Zigzag that was only a mile around trip with a waterfall, which is always a winner in the girls' book. It was a bit of a drive, but it was SO worth it! The girls had so much fun, it was just challenging enough for them and the waterfall was gorgeous!
